Over the weekend at Concours D'Elegance in Palos Verdes, CA

I am a big fan of sports cars especially of the limited edition variety. I always enjoy getting out to any Concours I can, since they are always set in beautiful locations and the best examples of automobiles are always so elegantly displayed.  One of my favorites has always been the 1957 Jaguar XKSS, the road going version of the D type - in British racing Green. And what do you know. One of it was on display this past weekend at the Concours D'Elegance held at the Trump National Golf Course on the beautiful Palos Verdes peninsula. The pure definition of a raw, Steve McQueen driving sports car -  masculine,  bespoke, British design.  Details such as the original no nonsense Smiths dials,  to the leather straps on the side, to the placement of the Jaguar logotype on the hood. It's all absolutely gorgeous. Heritage, soul and British tradition at its best.  You gotta love that.
